2025: A Landmark Year for NordicNeuroLab

2025 marked a new chapter for NordicNeuroLab, driven by strong growth, the launch of groundbreaking products, and a strategic change in ownership.

Launch of nordicMEDiVA

In January, we successfully introduced nordicMEDiVA, our new web-based, vendor-independent post-processing software, in the U.S. This platform represents a major upgrade from our aging nordicBrainEx software, offering customers advanced neuroimaging analysis tools on a state-of-the-art interface.

The market response has been overwhelming—installations have soared well beyond expectations!

Introducing nordicAudio

Early in the year, we began delivering our new MR-compatible nordicAudio system in Europe. Designed to improve communication between operator and patient as well as auditory stimulus for fMRI, nordicAudio combines exceptional sound quality with both passive and active noise attenuation.

Its ultra-slim design allows subjects to wear the headset inside even the most confined head coils used for advanced neuroimaging. The product has gained significant traction, and with ongoing enhancements, we anticipate nordicAudio becoming a high-volume product in the years ahead.

Expanding into Interventional MRI

In 2025, we formalized our ambitions in the interventional MRI segment by hiring a dedicated Segment Manager. We believe radiation-free interventional MRI will be a key growth area for the future, and we are excited to lead innovation in this space.

Change of Ownership

On July 4th, NordicNeuroLab entered a new era as Longship, an Oslo-based private equity fund, acquired a majority stake in our company. With Longship as our partner, we are well-positioned to accelerate our growth journey and continue supporting customers and patients worldwide.

Record-Breaking Financial Performance

2025 was another record-breaking year for NordicNeuroLab, with nearly 40% growth in incoming orders compared to 2024. This achievement reflects the quality of our products and services and our commitment to solving real challenges for customers in MRI.

Looking Ahead to 2026

As we enter 2026, we have a pipeline of exciting projects and opportunities, including:

  • Integration of resting-state functionality in nordicMEDiVA
  • Preparing nordicMEDiVA for Europe by starting the CE marking process
  • Continuous improvements to the nordicAudio system
  • Updates to our flagship VisualSystem HD
  • A new version of nordicAktiva for fMRI stimulus presentation
  • Prototyping in the interventional MRI space

We remain committed to strengthening our technology leadership and delivering solutions that make a real difference in MR imaging.
